Breastfeeding Counselor, Childbirth Educator
Hi! My name is Lauren. I have been happily married since 2012. God blessed us with
four beautiful children, three boys and one girl. My husband and I are both
percussionists and that is how we met! We own a landscape company called Daddy
Lawn Care. Our oldest two boys are homeschooled. We chose to homeschool
because we want to spend more time as a family, teach our kids how to be
compassionate people, have good work ethic, and to instill our faith in them.
My whole life, I wanted to have kids and be a mom. Being number four out of five kids
and the last three being born in birthing centers, that is how I envisioned having my own
kids. My first two boys were born in a hospital up in Michigan because we did not have
midwives in our area. After we moved back to Florida, our third son was born at home
in the birthing pool. Finally, what I always wanted! I then had my daughter sixteen
months later the same way.
“When a woman is in labor, she is in anguish because her hour has arrived; but when
she has given birth to a child, she no longer remembers the pain because of her joy that
a child has been born into the world.” - John 16:21
After my experience with my first labor and birth, I felt the desire to help other moms. It was not until after having my third son that I took the leap to become a doula. I am a Certified Birth Doula (CD), Certified Postpartum Doula (CPD), Certified Breastfeeding Counselor (CBC), and a Certified Childbirth Educator (CCE) through International Doula Institute (IDI). I love supporting other moms and helping them know their own strength. Understanding that labor is unpredictable, I want to help moms feel confident in their decisions and to see the beauty in their unique story.
“Birth is not only about making babies. Birth is about making mothers… strong, competent, capable mothers who trust themselves and know their inner strength,” – Barbara Katz Rothman
I would love to meet with you and discuss how I can help and serve you. Text or call anytime!
