Natasha’s journey into the birthing world began in Belize where she lived for a year and found her passion for yoga. She went on to get her 200 hour yoga teacher certification in Costa Rica in 2016. While in Costa Rica, she met and was inspired by a teacher that spoke about conscious conception and advocacy for women and birth. That experience coupled with attending and assisting her cousin’s birth experience, she knew she found her calling. From that point, she completed her DONA doula training in the Simkin Center for Allied Birth Vocations school at Bastyr University in Seattle. Her journey continued when she moved to Melbourne, Florida where she fell in love with the ocean, the palm trees and the community.
Currently, Natasha is working through DONA International to obtain her DONA certification, she is educated in Spinning Babies techniques (which aids in easier births and offers different positions for when labor is long or stalled) and uses her knowledge of yoga, meditation and pranayama (breath control) to aid in labor and effective contractions. Believing in the importance of having an understanding and constant supportive presence during labor and birth, Natasha works diligently to ensure the women she works with feel supported and empowered by her presence. How a woman perceives and remembers her birth experience will affect her for the rest of her life so Natasha strives to ensure women tap into their natural power, trust themselves and find their sacred feminine energy that is in all of us!
Natasha brings a conscience supportive mindset to both the birthing person and their partner in any setting, whether you choose the hospital, home or birth center. She has a deep respect and passion for mothers and birth and is here to provide guidance, support and information.
