Hi! I’m Becky!
My interest in birth truly began with the birth of my first child in 2001 and continued to grow stronger with the births of my next four children. I officially became a doula in January 2015 when it became obvious that I needed to put my long-time passion to good use! Since then, I have attended many births of all kinds and have had the privilege of supporting families through one of life's most meaningful experiences. I have also served as a birth assistant since 2017.
There is nothing that excites me more than helping women achieve their desired birth experience! One of my greatest passions is helping women discover the true natural design of their bodies, as well as the birth intuition and instinct that has been there all along.
"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made." — Psalm 139:13–14a
One of my greatest motivations in supporting couples during birth is knowing that when a woman feels informed, supported, and satisfied with her birth experience, she often begins motherhood with greater confidence. The more empowered and educated a couple becomes about their birth, the stronger the foundation for their parenting journey. Some of my favorite births end with Dad giving me a high-five because of the incredible teamwork involved in supporting his partner.
Outside of serving as a doula and birth assistant, I treasure spending time with my husband and our growing family. We have homeschooled all five of our children, who now span many stages of life—from teenagers at home to married adults and grandchildren. Watching our family grow has only deepened my love for supporting new parents as they begin their own journey. I also enjoy reading, cooking, sewing, and a good sci-fi story.
